I'm going to make my fake AG Sybil into a today girl. Her new name will be Elaine, and she will have hair the length of kits hair.

Any suggestions before I start the hair cut?

I would not do it if I were you, have a professional cut her hair! I cut Nancy Drew's hair and it was something I do not want to do again. It does seem easy, but once you start cutting, if you have not done this before, it may ruin the doll, besides, why you want to cut poor Sybil, her hair is what is making her special, you will ruin that. Maybe get an AGOT#21 for short hair.

    Really?

Do you think I should just get a new wig or something instead? That way i'll still have the old one just in case.

I think giving her a new hair cut will make her even more special to me.

If I were you, I'd buy a new wig. I've seen ones just like Kit's, and can give you a link in a few hours (I'm about to leave, but when I get back, I'll find it for you).

I really liked the story you had for her, I don't think you should change it . It was so original, but well thought out. You had a whole meet outfit and accessories for her!

If you really want to cut it, have a grown up help you with it. We trimmed my AGT's hair a few times when I was little, because it was horrible from AG, and my mom always did it and cut it perfectly straight and even.

I would get a new wig before I would cut the hair--once it's cut, it's CUT---and will never grow back.

With another wig, at least if you don't like it, you can change back to the old wig. (If you DO like the new wig, then maybe you could sell the old wig, or save it for a fixer-upper doll in need of new hair)

I wouldn't dare cut a doll wig myself--too afraid of ruining it!

I have my mind set on making her a today doll.

I've already sold her 1962 style outfits. (See my thread titled "AG items for sale....")

I'm going to get a new wig though.

    Thanks for your opinions!!

The reason I want to change Sybil, make her new name Elaine, and make her a today girl, is that I'm bored with her.

I think she would look good with dark brown curly hair! I'll have to go out and buy a wig at the craft sore soon.

Sure I had fun with her as a Pilgrim but......
